Amazing. Shouldn’t have been a surprise, but never expected the depth to this. Sure, it’s funny, but the battle scenes and stunts are epic.

If they stopped making musicals after this, that would have been understandable. Set bar so high. Kelly, Reynolds & O’Connor triple threat.

Spent youth vainly pretending it was overrated. What can I add that hasn’t been said? The single greatest movie the studio system produced.

Debate never to be settled: better than original? Modern story may be; flashbacks less engaging. Pacino deserved Oscar but so did Chinatown.
