Finally saw tonight and was able to confirm what I’be expected all along; this is a trifle. a competent if uninspired dollop of something slightly enjoyable and immediately forgotten. And that’s fine. You need those, too. But I’m still mystified why this was award material.
Kind of all over the place. Great pieces, but WAY too long. Improves hugely if split up over 2 nights. Nolan’s twists finally feel gimmicky.

Lovely family-friendly vehicle for Damon to continue colonization of planet. Crowe not exactly stretching himself. Nice, but soon forgotten.

Incredibly I lasted 20 minutes. To be fair, Geena Davis spent most of it half-clothed. Kept asking dear wife, “Is this supposed to be camp?”
Absolutely wonderful. A truly magical love letter to film, dreams and hope. Gorgeous visuals. Captivating young stars seize chance to shine.
