Reportedly this was originally MUCH darker. Would have loved to see that. As it is, this is a Murray & holiday classic, with brilliant cast.

#140RVW: The Ref (1994)
One of top holiday movies for adults. Perfect vehicle for Leary’s biting humor. Spacey & Davis bicker wonderfully in late Demme’s best gift.

#140RVW: Eight Crazy Nights (2002)
Felt like I had to watch this since it’s the only Hanukkah movie I could think of. Crude even for Sandler, easily worst holiday movie ever.

#140RVW: Frozen (2013)
Gorgeous visuals; really lovely. Good music sung extremely well. Story that doesn’t define women by their interest in a guy? Sold & thanks!

#140RVW: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)
Good finale is as far removed from where the series started as is possible. Dark & moody. Great action scenes. Good pace even if overlong…
