Deserves its decades of praise. One of studio system high points. Still beautiful, magical. Over The Rainbow greatest film song of all time.

Bit showy but it may be the best they could do at the time. No idea why they didn’t realize Maguire & Dunst were the worst actors available.

Cuarón takes series from kids movies to well-rounded films by wisely choosing the story he wanted to focus on instead of slavish adherence.
